Cheerleader and education professional Kristin Kinkel spent one year as an English teacher at ESL Master in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she offered instruction in English as a second language to visiting Japanese students. She also spent two years as a bilingual educational assistant at Hillsboro School District in Oregon, where she assisted with English and Spanish literacy instruction. Throughout this time, Kristin Kinkel also functioned as a head instructor for Varsity Spirit Corporation, where she organized and managed domestic and international cheerleading camps and clinics. She also judged competitions.
Kristin Kinkel studied at the University of Oregon, then at Hawaii Pacific University, where she received a full scholarship for cheerleading. She earned a bachelor of arts degree and was a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.
In her free time, Ms. Kinkel travels extensively. She has visited nearly all 50 states as well as Chile, Japan, and Taiwan. She also lived in Southern Spain as a child and backpacked through Western Europe for six months at 22 years of age.
